Course Overview

The MBA course is approved by the AICTE, Govt, of India and is run under the Curriculum of Bangalore University. The course is carefully designed and updated by the University keeping in view the changing needs in the Industry. Upon successful completion of the course, the degree is awarded by the Bangalore University.

Industries require young managers at different levels in the areas of Finance. Human Resources, Marketing, Production and so on. The Curriculum puts significant emphasis on the ability of the student to have an integrated view of management principles and apply them to real life situations. It lays emphasis on taking -

decisions and developing a focused education combined with practicals into effective managers with good communication skills and leadership capabilities. The attributes that are ingrained in them are knowledge, skills, values and attitudes.

The course is for two academic years consisting of four semesters.

Project Work

At the end of the second semester the students take up a summer project such as organisational study, which carries 50 marks (25 for dissertation and 25 for Viva-Voce).

In the fourth semester a project for 200 marks has to be completed by the students. Viva-Voce carries 50 marks.

After completion of the course, the opportunities available are as follows:

  • Work as an Officer, Manager, Secretary, Accountant in Banks, Insurance, IT Sector
  • Work in Companies, Govt. departments and other private companies, etc
  • Practice as an Auditor and Tax Consultant.
